Theology forms an essential part of any Catholic formation, bringing understanding to the lived experience of faith, and providing support and structure to the service and social aspects of the Lake Catholic school community. Knowing that all people are made in God's image and likeness, and knowing the love of Christ for each of us individually, helps students to form a worldview which is at once other-focused and seeking God within. Lake Catholic High School uses The Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for Young People of High School Age, published by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2008, forming our students in a broad range of classes, from Scriptural familiarity, to ecclesiology, to studies in moral theology, to a deep dive in the social teaching of the Catholic Church.
